Intern Abroad HQ facilitates life-enriching internships for students, recent graduates and young professionals, with industry-leading organizations around the world. Our interns learn through experience, develop the skills employers favor and gain international exposure. With 230+ internship programs across 24 career fields, students can choose to intern from 2 weeks to 6 months either in-country or virtually, in 21 destinations around the world. Intern Abroad HQ is a division of International Volunteer HQ. Collectively, we have supported more than 130,000 program participants since 2007.
HOST ORGANIZATIONS
Interns are matched with leading companies and host organizations around the world that align with their unique interests, academic requirements, and career goals. Our customized placements allow interns to work on real-world projects in the career field and specialization of their choosing.
EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING
All of our programs include an Experiential Learning curriculum that provides a structured and guided platform for interns to think critically about their experiences on their internship. Interns complete weekly reflections and journal entries that culminate in a completed portfolio. Our interns say that our focused exercises help them to articulate their values, goals, competencies and strengths on their resumes and in job and college interviews.
ACADEMIC CREDIT OPTIONS
Intern Abroad HQ supports students fulfilling academic credit internally through their home institutions and externally through our School of Record with the University of Montana and Warren Wilson College. This School of Record provides oversight of the academic process and experience, including review of syllabi, evaluating course offerings, and ensuring academic quality. Students can earn up to 16 credits on our internship programs.
