Basic Terms & Conditions
You must be 18 or older to buy or sell on Service Exchange. Services must be provided by the listing party and cannot be delivered by another party/third party unless the party is disclosed in the listing. By listing on Service Exchange, you are simply agreeing to accurately list/sell your service(s) to potential users or buyers, similar to a classified directory. GlobalEd is not officially endorsing your services or acting as a service agent. It is both seller’s and buyer’s responsibility to do due diligence around the selling and buying of services. However, we will dispute claims and may dismiss sellers or buyers who do not comply to these terms.
Once you create a GlobalEd account, you can list a service (go to Add Listing, then choose “List a Service” under Category). If you are selling a service for a fee, you will retain 75% of the sale price. Click here to understand step-by-step how to list a service.
You do not need to sell a service for a fee. You may wish to list it for free (0.00 price). Simply put 0.00 in the price amount to list a free service.
Users can also post requests for services. These requests are then listed in a separate directory, where providers can bid on them. The same terms and conditions apply to both requests and direct services.
You must be 18 years or older to buy or sell on Service Exchange. You must also be acting officially on behalf of your institution or organization if selling, buying, or exchanging services.
When you create a GlobalEd account, you must provide accurate personal information. GlobalEd reserves the right to discontinue accounts at any time.
A basic GlobalEd account is free. This enables you to buy or request services on the site.
To become a provider of services, bid on services, or list services, you must purchase a Growth L1 or Growth L2 account (one-time fee). These packages also enable you to promote your services on GlobalEd a certain number of days per month and receive additional advertising and promotions.
Purchases, Taxes, and Fees
You are responsible for paying any amounts due, including any applicable taxes, when you make purchases on GlobalEd/Service exchange. When you purchase a service for a fee on GlobalEd, you will be charged (in U.S. Dollars) the list price for each service as well as applicable state and local sales taxes, and any fees associated with your order. Sellers/Providers are responsible for paying local or state taxes. GlobalEd estimates state and local taxes based on Woocommerce tax estimates, but we can’t guarantee tax estimates are correct.
Payouts and payout rate: Service providers who sell services on GlobalEd retain 75% of the sales fee (excluding applicable taxes). Payouts are made within 30-45 days of a sale and may be made in bulk. Payouts are made through Stripe transfer, PayPal transfer, bank transfer or Venmo.
Becoming a user of IERE does not create an agency, provider, or employment relationship between you and GlobalEd. GlobalEd is not the employer of and does not act as an agent for any user, nor do we provide any services.
