GlobalEd Career Navigator Program

Now recruiting for the 2023 Cohort! Program Dates: May 1 – July 7, 2023

After 20+ years working in another field, I knew that going from browsing the NAFSA job ads to actually landing a position in international education was going to require some work on my side. Through the GlobalEd Career Navigator Program, I learned how to present my skills and experience through an international education lens. Bryan and Marty helped me get a better sense of what kinds of roles I might fit best, supported me in revamping my resume and helped me tweak my interview skills for the international education world. I’m planning to start my international ed job search this spring and feel so much more confident and prepared now that I’ve been through the Navigator program.

Women’s Leadership in IE AND Sora’s Top 10 Tips for Attending a Large Conference

Like 10,000 of my closest IE friends, I will be attending the NAFSA Annual Conference in Washington, DC, next week. I have the honor of presenting a session on Thursday, June 1, titled “Women’s Leadership in International Education: New Paradigms for Future Practice” with Anne D’Angelo, Assistant Dean of Global Initiatives, Carlson School of Management,…

The State of the Field

Every so often, practitioners in most fields step back from their day-to-day work to conduct a macro-level assessment of how things are going, where things are, and even where their field might be headed in the months or years to come.
